Finishing up the challenge with my fave class!
So I am running away to VA to design for an opera festival tomorrow so this is my full day in NYC and also my last workout of the May challenge. (unless of course I do extra in the next few days which is totally a possibility knowing me) Well I decided that the only way to finish this all off was with Kyra's cardio a gogo.

Back in the NY Groove!
First off mad props to anybody who realizes that my "exciting title" is a Kiss song. So I got back to the city today with my friend Shiloh who drove cross country with me and couldn't be happier. We got back later in the day (after my usual Friday belly dancing class) and we got tickets to see Wicked at night so there was no time to actually reunite with Crunch.

Hotel gym in Nebraska
So here I am in Kearney Nebraska after a day of driving. Luckily classy Best Western I'm staying in does have a hotel gym and despite the fact that I'm tired I did a workout. The eliptical was not working but I did 30 min of cardio on a stationary bike and then I did some abs and toning work. Go me!

Wyoming workout
Heading back cross country today and ended up in Evanston Wyoming. No gym but definately spent a good deal of time doing some pilates, crunches, and butt work while onthe floor of my friends parents house...

Heading to Utah today
So today I had to fly to Utah to meet a friend so I can drive back cross country to NYC... Basically what it boils down to is I'm a pretty fun person. Anyhoo since I knew there would be no time for the gym I tried to get as much power walking in as I could. Ex.

I shared the fitness with one of my best friends from childhood who is in town visiting me from DC right now. Got her a guest pass and we crunched it up at Carl's Chisel and then Ride. He was awsome as always in both classes and then we did a little light stretching together... Kinda amazing. She wishes she lived here so she could join :)

Some call it booty dancing... I call it squatting
I'm just gonna say it; when you are grinding and dropping it low on the dance floor it is a workout! Dancing is undeniably a workout (I mean look at any Crunch class schedule and you'll see it bursting to the brim with "dance rythems") but when you really "Get Low", "Drop it Like it's Hot", and "Lean Back" then I think it adds an element of toning to an otherwise cardio fitness session.

Thursday: Hangover free and workin' it!
Did the usual Thursday routine of Chisel with Carl followed immediately by Hip Hop with Marc. Carl did switched it up a bit and did an amazing about of abs, butts, and thighs which was hot. Marc had a special guest lady teaching have of the routine. Both classes are always amazing but today were particularly spectacular.

3 hours of fitness with Sassletics82
So Sass and I met up for the usual Carl chisel at crunch-Lafayette and then afterwards it was so beautiful outside we decided to go for a walk. We literally walked for 2 hours! From crunch all through lower manhattan, from teh lower east side, to chinatown, through all the courts, then back up through little Italy and then back to my hood (the east village). It was pretty awesome.

Just another manic Monday
Decided to do a Derek marathon at Union Square Crunch. After Sassletics82 told me how great his spinning class was last week I figured I'd give it a try. Additionally I tried Derek's hip hop class before spin. Both were pretty awesome and had GREAT music. Highly reccamend :)
