... about those 15 minute miles is not the fact that you can't sustain a 10-minute mile pace because you will have an asthma attack befitting one of the Nerds from Nerds.
Nor is it the goofy headband you choose to wear that you don't soak with even a speck of sweat because you weren't breaking one.

OK, so. I realize that a yoga complaint, especially when any yoga class is still a godsend and I am lucky to be able to go to a great studio weekly, is akin to complaining about one's diamond slippers being a tad too tight.

33 year old speedwalker in hot pants:
Hit my gym yesterday and proceeded to speedwalk the two slowest miles known to man, surpassed only by those ladies you see at the end of the marathon who are somehow eating donuts while marathoning. 14 minute miles, I think? 2 of 'em. Whatevs. I'm getting there, and slept well for the first time in weeks.
NB: Time Out New York makes for perfect treadmill reading.

@A: The way my gym is set up is such that a long queue of would-be treadmill runners forms waiting for those on the machines to finish. I'm not the only one being examined.
@S I totally don't care, either, but can be susceptible to writerly hyperbole.
@B Being old is going to rule.
