Workout
Running Runyon
It was an absolutely stunning day. My best friend was in town. My mom drove in to say hello. The wind was blowing, the air was warm. So what else to do? Run Runyon Canyon! This was the first time I had been up to the Canyon...and it was killer (beautiful).
Workout
Crossfit and BFF's
My best friend is visiting me from NYC, and it's awesome! So good to have a great friend around, one who knows you front and back, one that can be cool with riding bikes all night and not drinking a thing, a friend that any topic can be talked about. A true friend.
Workout
Bruised Sternum!
This is a first for me...a bruised area on my sternum! I actually didn't realize it last week, but this area was bleeding last week due to my necklace digging into my skin. I love scars and bruises, so this is just another notch on the list. It's from the raw barbell resting in rack position on my skin after every clean press.
Workout
Worst Memory Ever
Because I immediately didn't blog about my workout on Saturday, it is completely and utterly gone from my memory. This is why my pops wanted to send me to "Memory Camp" back when I was a teenager...I can't remember a thing unless I write it down or take a photo (Thus why I always attach a photo with my posts).
Everything I Am...
Looking back at my week, checking out at all of the iphone pics I snapped, I chuckled to myself because every single extracurricular activity I did tied back to sport. And besides just playing something every single day, it sure looks like I'm addicted to the overall passion and the thrill of sport.

My Life on Two Wheels : Week 1
I never realized how awesome it is to ride a bike. To get from one place to another without using a car. Feeling the air flow through your hair, and the sun on your face. This first week of being back on a bike made me so excited, happy and optimistic about what is to come with my life on two wheels.
March 5th Playlists
It's a well known fact that I rarely go a single minute without music. Whether it's working, cooking, cleaning, biking, running, traveling, driving, walking to the grocery...music is ALWAYS on. I program the music in the office, I create the playlists for a lot of our events.
Workout
Squatting Your Twin
Get this. We were asked to squat our body weight, 30 times. I weigh 174 pounds. Could you throw your twin over your shoulder and squat him or her? Because I couldn't, ha.
Workout
Handstands x Soccer Tsunami = I Love LA
In which this week's "Featured Body," ADRIANA, uses skills gained as a chubby tween to her advantage and gathers together a perfect, pleasingly international, soccer team.
The evening begins as soon as the work day ends, no time to digress into the "I don't want to workout" thoughts. Pop over to the gym for my 5th "Learn how to Crossfit" class with my new crush, Jonathan the trainer. He's awkwardly cute, this tall guy with a bald head and facial hair. Squeaky laugh. Camo shorts. Camo hats sometimes. Anyways.

Pull Up Contest @ Work
In which this week's "Featured Body," ADRIANA and her coworkers find some random steel bars and try to do pullups.
After my crazy workout that morning with the 400m sprints and really tough warmup, I asked other girls in the office how many pullups they could do.
"1!" "3?" "Uh, none." "5, totally 5." "I can do 10! Easy!" Me, I can do one jumping pullups, or 0 going from a straight arm hang.
So the girl who thinks she can do 10 100% kosher, proper pullups - straight arms after every one, start from a hang, overhand pullups - let's call her Double A. Double A boasts about having crazy arm strength, and that she did "25 in middle school for the Presidential Fitness Test." After that gem, LOLs ensued throughout the office.
After about one hour of back and forth banter, we set a time and place to watch it all go down. 1:30pm. Random steel bars we found 2 blocks away from our building in Culver City. The 1st Official Nike Pull Up Contest (Against Yourself). You name a number, and you have to match it or beat it. No money. Just pride.

We Have to Run WHAT??
In which this week's "Featured Body," ADRIANA, finds Crossfit is a lot harder than she expected.
Going to Crossfit at 7am is so easy for me. Don't think, just roll out of bed, put in contacts, throw on whatever sneakers are on the floor and walk 2.5 blocks. This morning, I was NOT expecting the hell of a workout that we endured.
