Today was a successful day! I walked to and from the pool, swam for 25 minutes (totally 110 minutes of cardio), THEN did 75 sit ups, 30 push ups and the rest of my work out (glute lifts, split squats, and arm dibs).
Now....I'm not a super hero. I've been working really hard to lose all my weight. In a year and a quarter with a lot of hard work and the support of my nutritionist and loved ones, I've lost almost 90 pounds. I still have 125 pounds to lose. I was about to go in for bariatric surgery until we found an eating plan that worked for me.
90 pounds later, I can have days like today where I can walk the 30 minutes to the pool, swim, then walk back. And still have the energy to work out more. I've come a long way. But I still have a long way to go.
A year and a quarter ago, I was almost 400 lbs....Now I've dropped 10 jean sizes and 12 shirt sizes, and I'm working so hard to be healthy and erase the damage I did to myself.
I joined this challenge because every once and awhile people need things to jump start their motivation.
And I wanted to share my story with you all.
I was at the brink of desperation. I was going to get gastric banding. I tried every diet and exercise plan I knew of. Then with the help of my nutritionist and a LOT of hard work and simple healthy eating and exercising, I'm losing the weight.
There's hope for everyone.
