Personal Goals
Just ran 6km in 45 minutes. I think the trick is getting past the first half an hour. It becomes easier after that!
Lunch: 1/2 turkey sandwich + salad + grapes + strawberries. I made whiskey mushroom penne for dinner, which was vegetarian and sure to be a favourite of Dave's for years to come. I ran, too, for 30 minutes and did the squats and lunges I have been perfecting in the quest to be less pear-shaped.
Lunch = beef and peach salsa wrap + salad + cranberry yogurt + skinny latte. Dinner = gourmet mushroom risotto + grilled butternut squash + sugar snap peas = vegetarian meal! I ran for 30 minutes, much thanks to Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera (for a total of 41 minutes on the treadmill).
My lunch today was under 300 kCal: a small green salad + 1/2 coronation turkey sandwich + grapes + yogurt. Work kind of got to me, so I dragged my ass to the gym for 35 minutes (ran for 23); just me and my iPod. Bliss. Except for the exercise part.
I packed my lunch, which was spicy three pepper hummus, with cucumber, baby carrots and sugar snap peas + a greek salad pasta + grapes. (See photo.) After work I went to the gym for my first run in a month. I ran for 30 minutes (4K), bookended by 11 minutes of walking for a total of 5K.
