Okay Beth, on a need to know basis: what is the challenge everything you are presently doing, there are certain things that I can not do; one being sit ups not allowed by doctors orders; reason being I broke my 12th vertebrae which is where you bend whilst doing a sit-up; do to same problem squatting is very hard to do as well; although, it was one of the things that I was taught how to do after we figured out what it was I did to my back; so when I do anything in relation to exercise it has to be approved by my doctor; doing Yoga is OK as long as I recognise my own limitations; so somethings I can do but others will put me into traction and I won't go there again; I can do the water and I am doing the water and I can do the eating fruits and veggies if you would like but I do thank you for the invite and the challenge; I only wish that I could ;-) LiZ K.

The challenge has:
Servings of Fruits + Vegetables Daily, Crunches Daily, Pushups Daily, Squats Daily, Ounces of Water Daily, Workouts Weekly.
Yoga workouts would totally count.
Crunches and squats might be problematic. Any variant on pushups work, I'd even count yoga moves like downward dog/etc..
Do what you can, as you can.
Yows, on breaking a vertabrae! Does/can that "fix"? I have no idea what kind of mess that would make of your normal activities, let alone working out activities! Wow to you for being so awesome as to be doing yoga and stuffs. I don't know what I'd do in your situation.
Hugz!!

@Beth T, Thank you for your invite and your concern; no right now it can't be fixed; later, it may have to be looked at surgically, but not at the moment; you just learn to do things with the help of a PT & OT differently; if the pain show up & there is one twist in Yoga that can send me towards the moon then I have to change my direction or recourse so that I don't go back into traction, too much pain there; however, Yoga is extremely good for core exercises; lower extremities, stretching and breathing correctly while using muscles; & meditation is the Drug of everything for me; my focus is presently on the breath and not on the pain.
So, I have found a best new friend in Meditation and a best new Friend @ Social Workout by the name of Sonia, who has a high level of energy and enlightment of both Yoga & Meditation; she know the spiritual factors of both; I am only looking at it from a scientific approach at this point; and I know that it works for me. The enlightment from Sonia allows me to understand a spirituality that I will have to progress to before I totally understand the experience of spirit in relationship to mind and body. But, again, I say thank you for the invitation, however, my limitation are many at this point and I am learning how to use what I still can use without to much on-going pain. Thank you so much for the invite and the challenge and good luck to you while being a part of that challenge, Beth T.
I will continue to cheer you on and best of wishes to you. Liz K
