went running at the gym because it was so windy outside. I can't do more than about 4.5 miles without going out of my mind with boredom. did yoga afterwards to stretch.
breakfast: whole grain waffle with almond butter and fruit
lunch: same + extra fruit
dinner: pasta with tomato sauce and spinach.

I went running - in the rain. Maybe all this running is affecting my brain. :) But I did stick to my training schedule so far this week!

Since my computer wasn't working (sigh) i had more time to read. Did a longer outdoor run, followed by some yard work and push ups...

In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer. ~Albert Camus, Lyrical and Critical Essays
Thousands and a run. I can't wait to get to the gym to use the foam roller - I think that buying myself one will be my reward after my next race.

Whoops - what happened?
I realized today that my 10K race is about three weeks away, and for the last two weeks, I haven't really been training hard. I have lots of excuses (work, travel, life) but that's not really going to work. So I did thousands today, and used my 30 minutes of "personal time" to come up with a reasonable training program. I'm not going to do catchup posts, because the short runs I've been doing don't count, and i've been neglecting the thousands.
And I need to set a new running goal...
Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
