I stopped at all four benches for thousands on the outer loop at the state park this morning for a trail run. The cool water and mud felt great on my feet.
Spin class. My A-team was there, so lots of chatting, groaning, and hard working out
I woke up early with just a hint of hangover and figured I'd run it off. As usual, I always run farther than I intended to in the city. Nice run along the Indianapolis canal, past the museums, then to the coffee shop to fuel up a little and then finish the run. Then, zoom back home, unload the market meat and head out for my mom's birthday luncheon. Later, we'll have a family movie night (Cars 2) and I'll do some thousands in front of the tube.
It was my Birthday and I taught spin and strength and stretch. Both classes were sort of sparsely attended, but fun and the weather was stunning. Made waffles for the kiddos' lunch and then hit the Irish pub for dinner with the wifely and friends.
Finally, a decent run outdoors. My parents took the children and the Wifely and I went for a run...actually she's still running. my knee started chattering with me, but I had Wifely watch me and she said I turn my foot out a little when I run. It takes a lot of mental attention to try to correct something like that. Did some squats, dips, pushups in the yard upon my return.
Took my daughter to kids' zumba and relished the adult alone time with the big boy weights. Chest/shoulders/back/arms, plus some front squats for good quad measure.
Worked those thousands right into my class this evening. Easy-squeasy. I had a slightly reduced lung capacity, but I think I still gave a pretty good class.
Feeling so much better after only 2 days of meds. Trying to decide if I should teach spin Monday night. I think I'll make a decision tomorrow morning. Felt well enough to knock out a few thousands before I get too far behind.
Here's some good exercises and variations that could be used in the March Thousands. I'm currently a fan of the Brazilian Crunch (plus it sounds sexy, right?)
