Evidently it was a hard spin class, because the ladies kept asking me if I was mad about something, or had eaten bad food. Honestly, I like to hear them moan and complain, because it assures me that they're having a hard workout.
*Every* time I make them do the following workout, I get all kinds of whining. It's a good one. I find it's hard to get done in 10 minutes, but see what you think.

6yo had her first soccer match (they lost, but cutely) then it was Daddy/Daughter Date Day. Sushi then Ice Age at the theater, followed by play time at the park. She let me run half-mile repeats while she played then some thousands in the shade. I wish more parents worked out while their kids played. I always feel like a bit of a freakshow. Oh well, fitness ain't easy.

hard spin class this morning. We hopped off the bikes for the first break and did burpees/donkey kicks/mountain climbers starting at 10 and working our way down. It was way too early in the class to complete it, so we made it to 8 with the promise to make it further another day. That's an ass-kickin' quick workout. Yowza. Post-spin, got some treadmill miles in. It's been ages since I've been on the 'mill. Now I remember why. "Treadmills are for people who aren't going anywhere."
Later in the day, picked raspberries with the kiddos, did some squats and pushups while waiting for websites to load and a few thousands while folding laundry.

Trail run with the Wifely. Nine solid miles. Those of you who run half-marathons, what kind of fuel did you use, if any? I've tried Gu and chews. I have a friend who swears by raw honey. Thinking ahead to my half. I've felt the bonk and am not a fan.

Sweetheart run with the Wifely, then worked all day on processing tomatoes (buckets of them) into sauce. Then, this eve, taught spin and did some rolling and pull ups.

Went for a nice midday cruiser bike ride with the 6yo daughter on the trail-a-bike. Surprisingly, we ended up with 14 miles on the Runmeter. Score one for longer than expected workout on a recovery day.
