Liz C.: Superheroes Log

  • I hope cleaning the kitchen counts as decluttering...I did round up that dozen or so water glasses that were cluttering my bedside table and the coffee mugs that were gathered around the computer....and the tupperwares from my purses...that should count right?

Yoga this morning was more stretching than a workout, but it was by the teacher I really like so she must have had a reason for such a laid back class. After it I ran 3 miles in 24.30 with some sprinting sessions, but I don't know how many meters...i'm not sure how to measure that.

  • I tried to do more dips and superheroes but I am always surprised at how hard they are!

Liz C. You know, when you lay on your stomach and lift your arms and legs up at the same time. I think they are called swimmers sometimes? 2 years ago
    • Christine N. It's supposed to be called a superman, but I assume this was to be more gender neutral considering we're mostly gals here. :) You basically look like Superman flying on the ground. 2 years ago

  • I did not know what I was walking into on Sunday when I arrived at the gym. I thought I would do a quick jog and one class. Little did I know I was in for three hours of exhausting fun. I arrived at 8 because I couldn't sleep. After four miles on the treadmill, my undershirt was soaked, but the rest of me was still dry. That quickly changed during bosu. I was legit dripping sweat off the tip of my nose. The instructor's high energy is so contagious though that I didn't care – and I just kept going.

After class I tried to slink past Esperanto, who teaches hip hop right after bosu, but he caught me! After listening to me whine about how I was tired, hungry and soaked he said I could go, but I would regret it next week when I didn't know what was going on because he was starting a new routine. I didn't care, I was too hungry. But apparently, I did care because as I reached for my locker I decided to go back to hip hop. I declared Esperanto the worst guilt-tripper ever and found a spot in the second row. I'm glad I stayed and I'm glad there are instructors like Esperanto who take time to get to know their students.
