A nice bike ride to/fro AntiGravity Restorative for a stretchy kind of workout. I need more extended times of stretching in my life.
186 mile relay race from San Francisco to Calistoga — DONE! Am currently icing my feet and knee but am feeling pretty good. Between this run and the Labor Day Wknd bike tour up in the dirt of the Tahoe Sierras, I am officially a team convert. Neither could have been possible without concerted effort. Thank you!
Race, day 1. I made snacks and meals for the estimated 30+ hour race. Boiled redskins w/ salt, pepper and a little olive oil; mini carrots; Tofurky + hummus on toasted local whole wheat sourdough; jam & light cream cheese on the same local ww sourdough; red seedless grapes, pita chips -- basically one big carb fest as an alternative to the Clif Bar and other processed packaged route.

More decluttering of bike and old paper crap and sewing clothes that have been casualties of the active lifestyle. Decluttering the computer TK. Even though my space has more space than ever, it feels like I have endless clutter socked away. Last little jog before race Friday, which I am combination dreading and excited about! (Fries at dinners, there goes this week.)
My Ragnar training schedule is telling me I'm supposed to run 30 min today, but I soft shoed it and ran as fast as I could on the elliptical, uphill glute setting for 15 before class, 3000 strides. Am counting this, my first synthetic run since I started tracking. Then, after months' hiatus, back to Devin. I was already sweating so much from the elliptical, I was like Old Faithul spouting in Dev's Diesel conditioning. He had us do these burpee hybrids doing a speedy double overhead press w/ bar then jumping down and doing a double pushup off a Bosu and then jumping back - repeat repeat repeat. There was so much sweat the bar slipped off the Bosu and I crashed onto the bum left knee, out of control in the sweat zone, oy. Still need to run 15 more. Maybe tomorrow after I've iced and Advilled some more.
A day of taking it easy but then both achilles act up plus the left knee. Am wondering if icing aching parts can be considered personal project.
