I was about to get on my bike this morning (well, yesterday now) and it started pouring. I briefly considered skipping the gym, because of the rain and because there was a sub, but then I remembered that for the next 3 days I will be eating nonstop (holiday of Shavuot) . So I got on my bike in the rain and went to the gym. I did not like the class with the sub. I felt like it was really slow moving, and she would do some exercises for too long. I get really bored, really quickly, and need constant change. After the gym I randomly decided to go to B&H to buy a camera (I want to get into film photography over the summer). So I was going in the opposite direction of home. I was waiting at a light and heard my name. I looked and saw Sassletics. it was fun, and random. I rarely bump into people I know on the street.

I think my workouts today made up for the last couple days of not working out. I really missed not being able to work out. I started out biking to Crunch Union Sq for yoga. As soon as that finished I had to run the few blocks to Crunch Lafayette for a session with Anthony. When I told Anthony that I wouldn't be able to meet at the regular time on Monday, we tried to find a time that would work. He suggested Wednesday and I said I take yoga with Jess on Wednesdays. So he had the wonderful idea of me coming right after yoga, because he said yoga is easy. He doesn't know Jess. I was shaking the whole time. The gym got this new TRX station, so that's where we spent most of the time. When the session was finished I had to bike uptown for an interview, then finally bike home. That's where my 253 minutes come from.

Just a session with Anthony. While we were training I saw someone shaking this weird stick (which I found out is called a bodyblade: http://www.bodyblade.com/en/) that reminded me of the shake weight. I make a comment to Anthony that it doesn't look like it does anything. So he had me try it. I had to hold it with both hands and shake it up and down for 30 seconds. It wasn't hard, but I did feel my shoulders working. Maybe that's why they're a little sore today.

I thought today was bike to work day, and although I bike almost everyday, and I don't go to work, I wanted to meet the TransAlt people at the bridge giving out coffee and clif bars. But Bike to Work day is next Friday, so they weren't there. I took BodyArt. It was good as usual. I feel like I'm getting much better at the balancing things. On my way home I stopped at a red light and right next to me on his motorcycle was David Blaine. He looked at me and then asked me about biking in the city and which are the best streets to take, and then he went through the red.

I can't remember if we did pushups in Bi-Polar today. I do know that I feel like I worked harder than usual in the class today because I definitely felt it afterward. And the weather was beautiful for biking today.

Not much of a workout today. I had a headache, I was tired, and feeling a little out of it most of the day (thank you allergies). But at the end of the day I decided I needed to work out. So I stopped at Crunch Lafayette on my way home for Cardio Sculpt at 7:30pm. That is really late for me to be at the gym. I guess I'm lucky I got a locker, they were out of clean towels. I stayed in the class for 30 minutes before I couldn't stay anymore. I wanted to get home already. That didn't happen. I unlocked my bike and discovered there was something wrong with the chain. It was dark and rainy and I was sitting there for at least 10 minutes getting really dirty and finally figuring out and fixing the problem. I almost gave up, wanting to take the subway home. I'm glad I didn't. I kind of like the feeling of biking in the rain (remember when I wouldn't bike on rainy days because I was afraid of the rain?).

When Bi-Polar was put on the Crunch class schedule the description said something about sandbags. We never used sandbags. Until today. Marc introduced Brooke as the sandbag pro and she started teaching. There were 3 weights of the sandbags. I never used them before and had no idea what we were doing with them, so I took a 6lb and an 8lb. I think the 8lb was too light for me. Most of the time I didn't feel like I was doing anything. Next time I'll take the 10lb.
I mentioned to Anthony that I signed up for the May Thousands and didn't get any of it done. I might have made a mistake by telling him that. He said it wasn't an issue and we would get through half of it in our next session! Yikes.
