My day wide open, I slept in, had coffee with 2 pieces of buttered toast and watched some cartoons. Chatted with a friend for awhile then got myself going and did my run-- just over 4 miles, with a 10 minute interlude of stair running/hopping. I think I have a shin splint. Tonight I'm going to see Pavement! I bought my ticket yesterday-- going by myself, but at least now I have a Plan!
also ate: an emergenC, a tomato and several slices of cheese. I'm going to need more than that though-- I'm hungry!

Farm Share Wednesday! Picked up my share after work then went for what I intended to be a 4 mile run. When I was on the return part of my run, I checked my time and was disappointed. I thought I would be running 4 miles in about 50 minutes, which is about 10 minutes more than I'd like. I was surprised because I'd been running the whole time, although my foot/leg was sore at the beginning and I had to take it slower to warm up...When I got home I did map my run and realized it was 4.63 miles instead of just 4...which better justified the 48 minute time. Phew! Then I made dinner and watched The Runaways.

leftover indian food-- lamb curry with rice, nectarine
snack-- a small bag of m&ms, a few sips of a can of coke I opened a few days ago...not enough water probably
dinner-- some cheddar cheese as a snack while I made braised collard greens with bacon, fried okra with cornmeal and fried chicken with cornmeal

This cool Sunday was a day I felt like I could go, go, go! I knew there were stairs by the pond, so I decided to do my pond run, add in some stair runs and stair hops. It's so nice to run in cooler weather-- makes a world of difference! I ran the 4 miles but felt like I could do a few more, so ran through the arboretum and back at the end of my run, adding on 2 miles.
