A quick run on the treadmill. Better than nothing. Spent the weekend in NY and did some walking, but lots of eating so maybe it was a wash. I've been logging some minutes on the Wii with Just Dance 2-- so much fun! Work is stressful and super busy.

I'm looking forward to my upcoming weekend in Florida, so just have to get through this work week. Still have a sore rotator cuff (it's not terrible, but I'd rather not make it worse by doing yoga or weights) so just ran on the treadmill last night for 35 minutes then did about 10 minutes of abs. It's shorter than my normal workout, but still totally reasonable.

I was really grumpy on Friday and should have gone to the gym after work but instead went home and sulked. I woke up on Saturday, however, and got myself out and running. I was caffeinated and ibuprofened and ran something like 4.4 miles in 43 minutes-- better time than I usually have.

Great workout last night-- 15 minute warm up run (if I know I'm running for not very long, I tend to pick up the speed at the beginning-- I should just always do that, since I can), followed by Zumba, followed by Rebounding, followed by Body Jam. Um, all of that was in my regular bra since I forgot my sports bra. Not great, but it worked out okay.
Still tracking meals-- I made peanut noodles last night!

I'm dismayed by my non fitting clothes, so back to logging what I eat (did it on my phone). Also did an hour of body pump, preceeded by a 10 minute warm up run.

Beautiful day for a run, AND ran with my friend Anita, so made it even better! I ran the exact same time as last year--62 minutes! I felt like I REALLY pushed myself-- I'm sore today and was STARVING after the race. I think I don't normally go that hard. I stopped just two times, to get water so walked a few seconds, but that was it!

One year! I joined SW a year ago and it has been a super great motivator. I've always loved working out, dancing, being active, and it's nice to have a community to do this with :)
I took today off since I'm headed out of town later...so went for a run this morning. First, it's hot and muggy here-- like 200% humidity. Second, I have a shin splint so running isn't that comfy. I did 3 miles, but only ran 2.5 then walked the rest. Not my best workout and the 10K is in just over a week. Maybe I'll take a break from running until then.

Came home for a quick run to get my stair runs/hops in before it got dark. It's windy and cloudy and kind of spooky tonight! I ran just over a mile to the Pond stairs, then ran and hopped up and down for 10 minutes. Then ran back. If it's not pouring tomorrow, I'll go for a run before heading out of town.
food log:
breakfast apple pie and coffee with milk
lunch-- farro with beets, feta and radicchio salad and red onions
snack -- apple
dinner-- leftover spoon corn bread and squash and mushroom lasagna

I pretty much took the weekend off from exercising, but accomplished a lot and did mega fun things and probably it was good to relax my foot and leg. Plus I got new running shoes which I broke in today...I'm not counting it, but I did at least 10 chest presses with a baby! I would have done more but he's getting big!!
Exercise today:
45 minutes running/walking on the treadmill...new shoes! ran 3.91 miles in 45 minutes
60 minutes of body pump. That's where all the lunges and squats come from. I'm estimating. I always try to count then lose track. But it's a lot.
30 minutes of Zumba. This was an impulse class! I was in there putting away my body pump stuff and was like, well...it's just a half hour. It was fun! Different instructor. So good to mix it up-- they are all good, but a different instructor does different stuff!
food:
coffee and milk, granola and milk
snack--baby carrots and hummus...and the remains of a melted bag of candy. I don't care. It was worth it!
lunch-- veggie and bacon quiche and cabbage salad
post workout snack-- apple
dinner-- blt minus the l...a glass of red wine and I see apple crisp in my future!!
