First day at my new job! And managed to not eat a bunch of cake to celebrate. So far, so good!
So, here are my parameters with this no sugar thing: I've made these dessert squares sweetened with dates, and those are okay. Very, very dark chocolate with barely any added sugar is okay (because who can live without chocolate, or wants to?). Saturday morning pancakes with maple syrup are okay because I say so. And of course, fruit = good. I'm looking to get rid of the ice cream/cake/cookie habit I seem to have fallen into. Hopefully two weeks off the unnecessary desserts will do the trick!
Dinner at 'sNice in Park Slope. Yummy.
Went to Buddha Belly at Crunch. Sort of weird class - a fusion of yoga and pilates, which I wasn't really expecting from the description. So the class itself was just okay, but it was taught by the woman who taught my first yoga class ever five years ago! Totally weird, and I've always remembered her because I really liked her, and she was super nice to me in that first class even though I was totally lost. And I still liked her. Nice little deja vu.
Did elliptical for 25 minutes and ran for 20. Knee hurt. :(
