No gym workout today, but I did spend 2hours in the yard digging out a 5x7 area of dirt, 6 in. deep so we can put in our new patio. When I finally stopped It hurt to lift my arms to wash my hair in the shower :)

Bike commute both ways. 12 miles, 80 min. puts me in such a good mood to bike to work. No more road rage :)
parked farther away from work today for a 6 mile bike ride in 38 min. Loving it!
Happy Mother's Day!
Work up aching all over from all the gardening so I took the day off from exercise. Saw the family, ate and drank too much, had a great chocolate dessert and am ready for bed.
Trying to find a yoga studio close to home so I don't have to drive for class. The one a went to Saturday AM was a friendly, sunny space. The class was called Hatha yoga on the schedule but when I arrived and saw a room full of gray hair I knew it was not the place for me. Yes, I got a good stretch, but definitely not a workout. It was more of a restorative class (for me) even though the other ladies were asking for the fan to be turned on. Oh well, live and learn. I'm determined to keep trying new places until I find the perfect fit. I love my usual place, Studio Breathe, but it's too far from home/work.
After yoga I spent 3 hours in the garden. dug out all the lawn in a 5x15 foot section. Next step, dig out 6 inches of dirt and move it somewhere, then start putting in the patio. Gardening is definitely a workout.
Parked far from the office so I could get in a 10 min. bike ride each way. Thought about yoga after work but needed to do some gardening before the weekend of rain. I've become the crazy garden lady. Transplanted the last plants and dug out a boxwood that smells eternally like cat pee. Now we are ready to dig out the grass and get that patio in. Very excited!
lunchtime run. it was hot out there and I felt like a hot mess when I got back to the office. Will have to rethink my mid-day workouts for the hot days. Wanted to do more exercise at home, but I've been sitting at my computer all evening, working. just finished.
family active time was making dinner with the kid. He was in "charge" of the recipe and I was the assistant. Can't wait until he's doing the dishes too.
started the day at 7am carrying 4 summer tires out of the basement and to the car. metroed/walked to work and biked home from work, 40 min. on a bikeshare. love it! finished the day in the garden, more digging. We are going to build a patio area for our garden furniture so I have to move a 3x8 flower bed to another area and then take out the half-dead grass and 6 inches of soil. There will be lots of digging in the next few days/weeks.
90 min. Of morning gardening. Digging up plants to move around in my mini backyard. In the afternoon we went to the suburbs to visit friends. They live 2 streets from a provincial park/mountain so before I hit the booze I went for a hike. The walk in is 2 km uphill, then a 6 km loop around some lakes and 2 km downhill. I ran some of the lake loop and all of the 2 km downhill at the end. I'm grateful for the cold wine and hot jacuzzi waiting for me at the house. Great weekend!
