Today I'm grateful for the 12 years that I've known the man. Pretty good for a bar pick-up! Also grateful for my generous tax refund, the new shoes I will be buying this week and the bottle of Prosecco chilling in the frig for this evening.
Zero exercise today, but did build a model Algonquin village with the kid for school. I think I had more fun than he did. Yippee for arts and crafts!

Friday I worked at home which usually means gym or yoga but instead I took a nap in the afternoon. It was cold and rainy and I was grateful for my warm bed (and warm man).

I'm grateful for the fabulous event I was invited to last night. Not feeling so great after all the drinks I had. :) went to the gym at lunch hoping to burn off my hangover. 20 min. treadmill intervals, squats, lunges, weights, etc. head is still hurting.
looking forward to dance class tonight. will be channelling my inner gleek.

Yesterday I was complaining about my boring freelance job, but I'm actually grateful that I have that job 3 days/week because I have nothing else going on right now. Which means I have more time to exercise!
Today I started off with a step intervals class which was a lot of fun and I'm counting it as bootcamp. I was one of the only ladies doing real/on toe push-ups. We only did 15 in class (lame) so I added another 10 after. I really felt like kicking my own butt today so after class I did lots of squats and leg machines. But, that still didn't hurt enough so in the afternoon I went for a run! It actually became a walk at the end because my legs were aching and it started to hail. Hail hurts!
All this exercise was motivated by my recent run and the picture I saw today. Holy thigh action! I apologize to all the people running behind me...

had to deal with the tax man today instead of exercise. In Canada we have 2 extra weeks of taxation procrastination.
5 pushups in the bathroom at work. I'm starting to hate this freelance client, soooo boring.

woke up early to prep for my 5k and there was a dusting of SNOW! on the car. Thankfully there was no snow/rain during my race but it was cold and windy. This time I arrived early and had time to warm up inside the arena before the race. I started out great, feeling strong but I was already tired by km 2. I kept telling myself to keep on running and would choose one person to keep pace with or try to pass. I did stop and walk about 10 steps at km 3, but that was it and when I got close to the finish I got a burst of energy and really kicked it. Final time 30:56. 40 seconds faster than my first race! Next race is in 2 weeks! Goal time: 30 min.

due to a technical glitch, my office card key is not working so I have no access to the office gym :( But, I'm grateful that it's a beautiful, sunny day and I work next to a residential area full of parks so I went for a 40 min. power walk, 2.4 miles. My legs are twitching. I love that feeling.

Today I'm grateful for sunshine, good music at work and dance class.
I went to my first jazz dance class today. It was a lot of fun and I didn't totally suck. It's been 20 years since I've taken a real dance class but all those years of parties, aerobics and yoga have kept my groove going. It was also fun to leave the man and kid at home and go to an evening class. Nice break from the usual routine.
