my butt hurts. it's actually my sciatica from my right butt cheek down to my little toe. uncomfortable sitting and pushing on the gas pedal in the car. Went to the gym to stretch it out. Ended up running on the tread, just 1 mile and doing some reps. First time I ran a whole mile without stopping since my gallstone attack (Jan. 5). Too bad I won't be able to continue the running. I go in for my surgery on Monday and then I will be in recovery mode for a couple of weeks. I'm trying to get in my exercise and alcoholic drinks before Sunday PM.

Grateful for the underground city in downtown Montreal. When I have extra time I try to explore more. Great way to get in my steps without sloging through snow and ice. Went to the gym after work for 2 miles on the tread and various reps. I rarely go during the evening rush and it was annoying to have so many people using the equipment.

My goal for today was to get over 10K steps. To do that I parked farther away from the metro, walked all the stairs (6 flights) to street level, used the labyrinthian underground passageways connecting downtown Montreal to walk to a different metro station on my way home and then went to the gym. Walk/jogged 2 miles and did some reps. Food has not been so healthy today. Lemon panettone with coffee for breakfast and again for pre-gym snack.

working at Aldo HQ this week so went to the onsite gym for some stretching and reps. figured it might help my aching body. so far so good.

missed sunrise by 6 minutes. too much sushi and champagne last night!
lunch time hot yoga. Kimiko is in India for a month so Marien was subbing. she's very good, but very different and what I thought was an easy class to start was actually quite challenging. We did a lot of downward dogs and I started feeling light-headed when standing up. Hello low blood pressure.

Slept 10 hours,woke at 8:54. I was wiped out. Cleaned house for 4 hours! Found treasures under the sofa. 1 hour gym workout. Didn't even try to run on the tread, feeling weird pains. Fast incline walking for 25 min. And lots of reps. Right deltoid still sore. I think the mid-winter blues are setting in.

quickie gym workout. 25 min. on the tread, mostly fast incline walking. tried running for 5 min. but wasn't feeling it. lots of reps and weight machines. my right deltoid is really sore from yesterday's yoga class. I feel it every time I click the mouse.

Tried running on the tread today. First time in a month. Did slow walk/run intervals. It felt okay but I feel like I'm starting from zero. I still don't have a date for my gallbladder surgery--could be any time in the next 3 months--so I can't make plans for spring races.
