Swing dancing tonight (http://www.alexandsally.com)! And it was more fun than I anticipated. And then back home for thousands. And I woke up this morning at 140lbs. I haven't seen a number that low for almost two years now. w00t!
Phew. I need a nap.

Up bright and early this morning for Cindy Lai's kettle bell boot camp this morning. Holy crap. Amazing workout. I came in with my upper back and shoulders already sore, but now I just hurt all over (in a good way). I was surpassed by how hungry I was after class, and ate at Pump Energy Food for the first time since I was in the area. The spicy bison is delish.
Anyway, headed uptown for flamenco class with Nelida Tirado. I was honestly expecting a boring dance workout since I was sort of disappointed by a belly dance workshop elsewhere, but I had fun in flamenco, stomping it up, and worked up a sweat. I'm excited to go back.

Body is yelling at me today, so I didn't get to do too much besides pull ups and the thousands. However, I did manage a set of two chin ups from a dead hang, and then a bunch of singles from dead hang. Yay!

Tried a new aerial silks class tonight (Cirque Style FItness @ Art of Fitness pilates studio in Astoria). LOVED it. I was the only one who showed up, so I pretty much had a private lesson. W00t!
Kristine was awesome and went through everything step by step, focusing on the basics and posture, and I ended up with quite a few achievements tonight... first (assisted) headstand, first full climb to the top of the silks (omg it felt awesome), near-successful foot lock while in the air, and then maybe a little bit of "flying" in a circle.
I originally got 5 classes for $35 on Groupon, but definitely think I'll be going back when that's done (they're only $20 a class at full price, there's ~6 silks, and the class is almost never full, so everyone gets their own).
PS, When new to headstands, don't try it at home without a spotter. *looks at bruised knee and elbow*

Bathroom stall pull ups and a bunch of crunches, pushups, and squats to make up for whatever I'm missing in November Thousands. Another awesome yoga class tonight at BKB, except for the random AC blasting towards the end. Brrrr.

Broken AC's are a blessing in disguise. Warmed up on the treadmill tonight and headed on over to what I expected was a lifting class (I don't actually enjoy lifting weights anymore, but I really like the instructor, Nicole). Lo and behold, she was at home recovering from the marathon and, the sub (Sam), rather than having us even think of touching the weights, took us through series of high intensity circuits and kicked my butt (no, really, I'm pretty sure I've never done that many donkey kicks in my life). 15 minutes in and I'm dripping buckets. It felt good. :) I didn't keep count but I'm going to safely say that I did at least 30 each of variations of pushups/crunches/squats.
Looking forward to yoga w/ Maria at Brooklyn Boulders tomorrow night (8:30pm, $5 for non-members, if anyone is interested).

Catchup night for Thousands. Did I ever mention I have a strong dislike for ab work?

Makeup day for "a few" pushups and crunches. Tomorrow will be squats and situps. And maybe pullups if I don't feel overly broken.
James C. and I went for a run after getting splendiferous haircuts, and I made it about 3.4 miles nonstop before walking home to cool off. Yay! Looks like I'll be ready for that turkey trot in two weeks after all. :)

Running on a treadmill. Made it half an hour long without catching my breath and my shins hate me now. Woot! Stayed out late (sadface) so that's all I have to post for Friday.
