Poop. Did my yoga and meditation for the day, but all 3 meals were meaty :( Unless you count the chocolate chip cookie I had as a pre-dinner snack.
I was impressed with today's yoga video, after doing yesterday's video. While not exactly sweat inducing, it was still a lot more challenging by comparison, so I enjoyed it.
Mobile update! Back to class at I.AM.YOU studio. Love those yoga classes. Just wrapped up day 1 of the 21 day challenge videos as well. It was a morning video but i thought it was relaxing and perfect for getting ready for bed. :)
My first Bikram double! I was super nervous but I did it! I have officially gone through 20 classes on 20 days. 10 left to go. Except that tomorrow and Monday I'll be in Orlando for work so I need to do two more doubles when I get back. Yikes!
Oh, and I found a new spot in class where it doesn't feel like I'm burning in hell so today was much more relaxing and I was able to get through a lot more without feeling like I couldn't breathe. Yay! The last half hour in the second class even got sort of... meditative? I don't know, but time flew and I felt like I was in a trance. It was nice :)
Did a quick 2 mile on the treadmill in between BIkram classes just because I didn't want to run tomorrow's 15k without having used my legs at least once this week.
I'm sleepy.
Bikram #17. Days are just flying by, for now. Unfortunately lunch @ Energy Kitchen came with a plastic bag, BUT I'm saving it as a wet gym clothes bag.
My wrist is still being silly. I feel useless :( Had to cancel on TRX on Wednesday and resched my Thursday session with Manny. This sucks.
On a brighter note, it's hard to imagine I'm already more than halfway through my 30 day Bikram challenge. Seriously? It feels like just a few days ago that I started this. Sure, I missed a day (although, I was actually there, I just couldn't get in because I was a few minutes late), and this coming Friday will be my first double. Yikes. But I'm excited. I've seen a ton of improvement in my flexibility since I started (hello toe stand, fixed-firm, and camel poses). I'm doubting those skin-improvement rumors though lol.
As much as I love it though, I don't know if Bikram is something I can continue. It's expensive, and it's a major timesuck. I'm internally debating getting a 5-pack of classes and just going to Kyoko's classes every once in a while. BUT it isn't a once-in-a-while activity. If I could afford it (both time, money, and the luxury of carrying wet clothes and towels with me every day) I'd do this [almost] daily. I really like it. *sigh*
Repost. Seriously hating this crossover timeframe when I'm writing at night and I miss midnight by 1 minute and end up posting for the wrong date. Grrr... I even made sure the datepicker was on the right date this time and that didn't work. :(
Quick 2 mile run at the gym followed by Bikram. The room wasn't as hot today, which sucked but was nice at the same time.
Bikram! I can't really do much else at this point for the next few days. :( Wrist is getting better, I hope. Either that or my tolerance for pain is improving lol.
Just Bikram today. I guess it's my rest day?
I thought my wrist would get in the way of some of the poses but I surprisingly managed to get through everything. Woohoo!
