Private yoga session at Studio Anya during lunch and then a class at I.AM.YOU. Delicious.
Back to I.AM.YOU yoga... a real live class session and not just an iTunes mp3 for it. Love love love.
Catchup: Super Saturday! Boot Camp w/ Al Kavadlo, a private yoga session with Amanda at Studio Anya, and then Cirque Fitness with Kristine at Art of Fitness. What a day.
Catchup: Quick 30 minute yoga session in the morning.
Hot yoga at Pure Yoga West as part of an Urban Girl Squad event :) Went with my hike buddy Colleen. Love these UGS events. Also we need more SW events =D
Catchup: Yoga Journal day 3! I hate ab work but this wasn't so bad.
TBH this was the last time that I had done the yoga since I had my trip to AZ (next post). Need to get back on that!
Poop. Did my yoga and meditation for the day, but all 3 meals were meaty :( Unless you count the chocolate chip cookie I had as a pre-dinner snack.
I was impressed with today's yoga video, after doing yesterday's video. While not exactly sweat inducing, it was still a lot more challenging by comparison, so I enjoyed it.
Mobile update! Back to class at I.AM.YOU studio. Love those yoga classes. Just wrapped up day 1 of the 21 day challenge videos as well. It was a morning video but i thought it was relaxing and perfect for getting ready for bed. :)
I.AM.YOU yoga last night. What a sweatfest. I was shimmering all over. Teehee.
This was my first time taking a full 90 minute class (60-min free Lululemon-sponsored sessions aside) and it was awesome. Lauren Imparato's hands-on adjustments helped a ton too. Still avoiding chaturangas; my wrist is still being iffy, but at least it is recovering, however slow it may be.
My only gripe is that the studio is to darn close to Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. I couldn't help myself from getting a scoop of their delicious almond cookie ice cream on the way to the train station. ^__^
Hiking/yoga trip at Minnewaska State Park via Dynamic Outdoors! Started the morning with a yoga class at the top of the mountain, followed by ~5.5 miles of hiking. Holy glutes and mosquito bites. It was super foggy, but in the end I was glad the trip wasn't cancelled due to the possibility of a thunderstorm (because that totally didn't happen, Mr. Weatherman). I had tons of fun.
Honestly, I was scared at first because I was looking up reviews of the company, Dynamic Outdoors the morning of the trip (I should've done that before buying tickets, but oh well). Horrible, horrible reviews, and anything positive looked like a fake review. Not the best in correspondence (I agree) or safety measures (no comment). I think as long as I avoid anything longer than a day trip or anything potentially dangerous like ice climbing (like this weekend's trip), I should be fine. I would probably do something like this one again.
When I got back to NYC I made it just in time for a friend's birthday - live octopus at a Korean restaurant! It's super duper freaky but it was delicious.
