5:52am. Dragged my butt out of bed so that I could make it to my first Refine class (and breakfast) with Sasseletic and Fatbridesmaid. Love you ladies!
Love love loved Refine. I hope their Union Sq location opens back up soon so I can go for real instead of dragging myself all the way up to the Upper East Side (because let's face it, I'm not gonna wake up before 6am that often).

Morning trip for day 2 of my Chalk Gyms trial. I took a spin class. It was pretty empty, with only 4 people riding, but the gym really is only a few months old so I guess that's not so bad. It was nice just being able to walk into a class without signing up. Plus, it's a lot more cost effective. I do wish there were more people so we could feed off of each other's energy, but let's be honest, this ain't no Flywheel. Setting aside, it was actually a pretty fun class and a good workout.

6:30am wakeup, followed by a workout at Uplift. Is it sad that it takes a challenge around waking up to get me to work out early? Anyway.
In the evening I jogged over to a nearby gym called Chalk Gyms. I'm gym shopping so I got a 3 day trial for this place. The 8:30 cardio kickboxing had a sub that clearly wasn't a teacher, so he very quietl taught us muay thai moves and conditioning because that's his background. The other two girls in the room were not amused, less so when he had us do burpees. I think I was a little too happy in that room. The gym overall is nice, and they have barbells which is what I lack, so I'm thinking about it :)

Session with Michelle before work (because, you know, I got up early today, haha). She's seriously my favorite trainer by far! Since the Nike event yesterday was pretty cardio heavy and wiped out my legs, we focused on core and arms today. But then she said she's a liar and made me do side shuffles and jumps across the studio anyway. =P We got to play with the giant swiss ball (pushups and tucks galore!) and throwing around a medicine ball (like, literally chucking it at the floor, fun stuff).

Lunchtime abs class, and an evening run with the Nike Flatiron run club. It was my first time joining them, and I actually really liked it. They are not intimidating at all and it was a good/manageable pace. Plus, a group stretch and refreshments at the end!

I tried my first class at Pilates ProWorks! I took BarreX which is a combination of Barre and TRX. Whoo weee. I'm not usually a fan of barre classes but I could get used to this!
Also the day of classes was sponsored by Gap, which meant free GapFit pants! (Thanks fatbottomslim for the Twitter announcement.)

Oh my. FlyBarre sport. What a tough class. I think I like this better than regular FlyBarre because the stronger focus on upper body work.
