Unexpected work day so no gym.
did some swimming and drank some beers.
Long day at the shacklet, painting inside and planting outside. Finished with a swim in the lake to cool off and get clean. I was all alone in the water. Practiced my backstroke which is not strong. Trying for 10 strokes at a time.
Had my free annual training session at the gym this morning. I was measured and weighed and it was not pretty. I'm 12 lbs. heavier than this time last year . I'm so disappointed with myself. When asked what my training objectives are for this year I had no answer. Lose weight is an obvious one but I'm not motivated. I know that I'm snacking too much, but I can't seem to stop. I'm bored being home so much so I eat.
Anyway Idid 30 min cardio on the bike and AMT machine and 30 min of kettle balls. Followed that with a 60 min. Yoga flow class. The room was not heated today so much more comfortable. The yoga helped lift my mood a bit but I'm still feeling sorry for myself.
I found a great website plantcatching.com where people list plants that they want to give away, or plants that they need, and then you can go "catch" them. So today I went a got a large shrub (4' x 2') which I will plant at the shacklet. The only hitch was that I had to dig it out of the ground! I was hoping there would be some help but the owner has back problems so it was all up to me. Took about an hour of serious digging, etc. but I go that sucker out and it's ready for it's new home. She also gave me a few other small plants so I lucked out. I offered to go back next week and help her with weeds in her garden for a couple of hours as she's out of commission. I figure it's the least I can do for all the freebies.
hot yoga at lunch and a long power walk which ended with me grabbing a bikeshare instead of walking home. My foot was hurting.
