Morning spin at NuYu Revolution, and afternoon run with Sharon =)
Uplift Strength in the morning with Michelle, and a tiny bit of BKB in the evening.
Run with the Iron Runners. Track work. Good lawdy, my thighs.
Lunchtime TRX and evening spin at my gym. Good day!
Another Classtivity class, this time at Joffrey Ballet. Love. I like to think of it as good cross-training for running (even though that's not um, normal), it's a great lower body workout, especially for better control of your calves and feet.
Assisted a friend's kettlebell workshop at BKB! =)
NYRR Scotland 10K run :) A few friends and I decided to get in some extra mileage as our half marathon training, but my knees were being icky. So we went to go have brunch instead. My fave part!
Another Classtivity class, this time at Chaise23 for their TRX class. I've been wanting to try out this studio and really had no good excuse considering they are across the street from my office. They are the sister studio to PhysicalMind studio where I started doing TRX... um... YEARS ago. And now I'm an instructor! I've come full circle. The open level TRX class was pretty awesome; I love how PhysicalMind and Chaise23's classes have a fusion of TRX and pilates in their exercises. It's very unique and not done by a lot of studios. They have a pretty sweet new-student deal, so that's definitely something to look into!
Skipped my group run in the evening, wasn't feeling too awesome later in the day =(
TRX counts as bodyweight training.
Track workout with the Iron Runners (Nike Flatiron's run group). We played a game of "guess how fast you can run 2 miles", except my time didn't get recorded so I don't actually know if I ran the two middle miles at the time I predicted. Sadface.
Spin with Steph N. at Revolve! Love love. I thought I had signed up for Body Ride (which, honestly, weights on a bike are just not my thing), so it was a very, very pleasant surprise to find out the class had switched to the Real Ride (all spin, baby). Whoo hoo! :)
Oh, and BKB in the evening. Still scared of heights, but trying to go as often as I can now.
Nike Run Club! Seriously loving this group, although not sure how I felt about a 10 miler. Oh boy. Thank goodness it was followed by brunch =)
Butt kicking session with Michelle in the AM, and then TRX at Pedal NYC in the evening.
My friends and I bought the Classtivity Passport - 10 classes at different studios for $49. Not bad at all. To sweeten the deal, Well+Good had sent out some promotion where you also get a $20 Lululemon gift card. Um. No brainer.
Pedal NYC was my first trip on the Passport. Class was with McCool, a badass looking gal who made us do very, very sweaty things. The exercises was killer and got the heart rate up, although the layout of the classroom isn't exactly ideal - the TRX trainers are set up in an L shape, so there was a lot of clashing and students attempting to rearrange themselves creatively. Oops.
Also late night climbing after class, which might have been a bad idea because my forearms and grip strength were pretty much donzo after TRX.
