i had a workout date with my brother today -- awwww how i missed those! who cares that we only said hi and he ran off to the big boy section while i wandered around trying to figure out what all i can do without using my feet. trainer mike was super-happy to see me and i got a big hug, which promptly made his new old lady client say: "lucky you!" lucky me indeed. i get hugged by all the trainers! including one at home! yay!
i warmed up with a couple rounds of overhead squats, shoulder pass throughs, handstand holds and good mornings. then, i did my little pull-up plan required negative pull-ups. i'm really surprised that i'm actually sore from those! i guess i haven't been going through the full range of motion with the bands. for my workout i did a modified cindy, with just 5 rounds of 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups, 15 squats (for time) and then i did a tabata row on medium resistance. i finished up with 150 reps of ab stuff with a 14 lbs med ball, including toe touches, sit-ups, leg raises, and russian twists.
in all it was an ok workout, but i really do miss my crossfit. sigh.
