Personal Goals
Run, bike, hike, spin, lift, climb, swim…it's up to you! Just log five workouts a week to meet this goal.
Ahhhhh hot yoga. It's been a while and I really needed a good stretch. We did a lot of the class with our eyes closed to work on feeling our alignment. No problem for me. I'm already doing class without my glasses, so eyes closed doesn't change much.
Super workout class at the gym. 50 min. Cardio, 30 min. weights, 10 min abs. At one point there was water dripping on the floor and at first I thought it was coming from the ceiling then I realized that it was from me! In the afternon we went for a long walk on Mont Royal. 17000 steps for the day. Feel like I reversed some of the birthday damage.
Saturday was my birthday but also the bday party for the kid so I had an exceptionally unhealthy food day. I did go to the gym in the morning for a tread run and navy seal workout. The rest of the day was kids, cake, pizza and then my bday dinner of prosecco and very bad indian takeout which I didn't eat much of. Fell asleep on the sofa watching a movie. 11000 steps.
HIIT class this morning followed by an hour of weeding and 3 hours on the sewing machine. My upper back is aching right now. I tried to do an unassisted pullup at the gym. All I could do was hang there like a side of beef. I don't think there is a bench high enough to get me above the bar to try a negative pullup. The thought of a negative pullup scares me. I will probably smash my chin on the bar on the way down and go crashing to the floor. Not even going to try it.
Ran to the gym then 2 fast for me miles on the tread in 20 min. First mile was "fraidy" fast, 8.3 min/mile but I had to slow down after that. Lots of weights and ab work.
Took the metro to work which means lots of stairs and walking. 12585 steps total. Biked home 6.75 miles in 46 minutes. Perfect biking temps out there today. Also 1 hour of gardening/weeding.
