For the record, that's just 2% of the total minutes in your average 24 hour day. Just saying.
two for tuesday. bike commute and hot yoga. I know what you're thinking, hot yoga during a heat wave, definite oxymoron. But that's the way I roll. And it was FREAKING HOT! And riding the bike back to work, even after a shower, was another sweat fest.
I went to Target after work to look at the gym clothes. Picked up some new shorts, so I can really get rid of the bad ones I have. I then wore one pair of new shorts (bright orange, which have the double function of making my legs look tanner than they are) and went for a quick run. For no good reason I decided to cut out the Palace of Fine Arts, even though I was close, which would have put me over 4 miles. Oh well. Legs sore today. Only one healthy meal-- breakfast of a green smoothie. Junk for lunch and out to dinner (bar food).
Today was good. 30 minutes of insanity and 30 minutes of zumba. Zumba is so much fun! I will do that ore often.
Bike commute. Sat so long at work that my bum started to hurt :(
Morning swim before another hike. Cave exploration and pb&j sandwiches and fruit for lunch.
Drove out to Pinnacles Nat'l park for the weekend. Did a hike up to the high peaks in about 85+ temps and lots of sun. Sunscreen! Check. Even shared some with some hikers who wanted to reapply. California Condors! Check. Lots of water. Check. Back at the Inn, got in a bit of a swim before the wine happy hour. Meals through the day were a very veggie omelet in the am, sandwiches and fruits on the hike and grilled kebobs for dinner-- meats and veggies. Beautiful sunset, heard coyotes in the distance and saw so many stars.

gardening without my sunscreen, very naughty. Luckily no burn. Went to the pool with the kid. Too crowded to swim so I did aquajogging dragging the kid around the pool. He thought it was great fun and I got a workout. win-win.
Today's my 68th birthday. I've been celebrating for days and have more to come. Two hard days at work but lots of cake and presents from clients, and extra tips, too. I love my birthdays.
Day alone at the shacklet. 4 hours of cleaning up the excavated areas, pulling roots and rocks out of the ground. The small rocks I tossed to the side, practiced my softball pitch. Larger rocks I used to fill in crevices on the retaining walls. So much work to be done in this garden I'm feeling overwhelmed. Cleaned up my taking a swim in the lake, 4 laps. Breast stroke going north, back stroke south. Felt divine. Cheated by putting a swim noodle under my arms. Wasn't sure I had the strength to swim without it. My lower back is not happy right now.
