Shopping at your local farmers' market has many benefits: fresher produce, wider variety, reduced carbon footprint, all while supporting local, sustainable agriculture and building community. It's a fun, pleasant excursion filled with free samples!

Buying local nurtures locally owned businesses which use resources sustainably, employ local workers at decent wages and require less travel and less shipping. With less carbon used and less pollution created, its a good thing to do.
