I think it should say dairy, not diary.

I've been vegan for 19 years. 30 days is a piece of (vegan) cake. I hope this inspires more people to go vegan - for your health, the animals and the planet.

I'm going to attempt this. Never been vegan before. Never been vegetarian before. Never been on a diet or watched what I ate whatsoever before. But I'm totally serious about it, just got back from trader joes with a bag full of vegetables, fruits, nuts, veggie burgers, and tofu. I think of it as a non-filmed opposite version of Super size me.

I'm definitely doing this, I was vegetarian for awhile last year, then vegan til I met my boyfriend. Go figure. But I want to get back into it, now seems like the perfect time.

day one: The morning was very easy. Granola and Almond milk, black coffee. And I work at Le Pain Quotidian so there is an array of vegan items available for staff meals. I got the Qeen-waa (as I like to spell it) salad. Very delicious and kept me full through the lunch rush. I actually felt much better than normal. I don't know for sure if was the diet change, but I was much more calm and friendly. After work was pretty hard though. I crashed, but also I only got 5 hours of sleep so that might have had something to do with it. I think the toughest part of this will be the mental part. A lot of people say that eating well keeps a healthy mind, which may be true, but I believe the inverse. That I must have a healthy mind to eat well. Nevertheless it was all I thought about all day, but it's kinda fun to mix things up. My energy was defiantly down by the end of the day, but I haven't tapered off at all I just went cold turkey off turkey. So it's not too bananas that I'm feeling a little wonky.

OMG - can I decheck this? I totally flaked. I have been eating sushi practically daily. Not Vegan Approved :(

Hey Michlny, We're working on the "uncheck" feature. Or the unfeat-ure. Will keep you posted, and, in the meantime, your clarification is duly noted.
