How is it that I worked out for a long time today and still feel like a lazy bones? My workouts taste like saccharine. I'm not in the zone. Logging the hours. Long hours too. Fighting the inertia! Combatted with balance and stability bracelet and yogi toes towel! I did a 60 min yoga flow at Vida, pretty low key ( a lot of breath work and gentle stuff), then I warmed up with some rowing, took a Dougie Ride at Crunch to prep for Get Schooled (I will be whoring myself to group fitness, as if that's a new thing), and then ran into (ok she texted me )Madame Bosom aka vonHottie in Crunch. We did our usual humiliation and sweat as we humped machines, high fived, performed side by side walking lunges while winking at each other and loosing balance while glancing at men doing pull ups. Project assisted pull up! von wanted to tackle the gravitron (my preferred name for assisted pull up machine) and we had to wait on line for that Sh*t. von was on a mission to pull.it.up especially since she missed yoga. While we waited for the machine we went about lat pull downs, I did some arm cycling, thighs, lounges, a handful of push ups, leg presses and THEN finally assisted pull ups. I guess it was good we waited because I got a lot of accidental weights done. Weights for Waitings. Best part of the workout was when von let the weights smash on the gravitron and she crossed her legs and leaned against the machine (in the same manner she leans against the bar) and yelled out "We're okay. Everything's okay. " Oh...and I practiced my headstand on grass in the park ...ie with out a wall in sight. I stayed up a whooping second. I flipped over my back many times and dared for a moment without fear. Failing by falling, in the glorious sunshine.
