Morning workout, 20:21. Evening workout: Switzer's running plan, week 8.
What I need to do—to make a habit—is to stop and pause over my meals like I used to. Pray, give thanks, and be present. You'd think after doing this challenge I would've made that into a habit by now?!
Maybe I should start snapping photos of my meals again. That seemed to help at the start of this challenge. Hm...something to think about.

Today I did a run still having a little bit of a cold not my best run ever, but hey no judgements, today was a beautiful day, truly amazing. Absolutely stunning. Sometimes it nice just to take in your surroundings.

Good luck to anyone else running their 10K today! It's sunny out in NYC, though a little chilly this morning. I'm still battling my cold, but I'm just going to do what I can with the run.. and am already planning to do another in November - without a cold!! Pre-emptively counting my 6 miles for the day - hooray!

Got in a bike ride yesterday, thanks to the nice weather we've been having. (For some reason, one of my cross-training activities was not counted. Will have to look into this!)

Morning workout was tough on the back! It was meant to work my abs, but my abs weren't having it! I'll have to have a go at it again sometime next week with better technique. Anyway, the workout lasted 42:50 to David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World". In the evening I ran week 7's workout 3 of Switzer's running plan, roughly 30 minutes.
Today was an I.F. Day, so no meals.
I napped in the afternoon, but before I dozed off I sat quietly in my room meditating.

Morning workout (weights), 38:16, to "The Best of Split Enz". No evening workout.
Again, no clients today. Spent the day rearranging parts of the house. Looks much better now. And I finally tossed out a few things I meant to toss out ages ago. So liberating. So...meditative?
Meals were good and healthy. Mostly snacked on chopped raw veg during the day.

Today may be my last run before the 10K on Monday. I went out for a 4 mile run and ran it in 40 minutes so I was happy!

Made myself a new "slow running" mix, so that I can keep the adrenalin in check on Sunday morning...and somehow ended up running under a 10 minute mile...a personal record. Weird!
I have a pain under my left kneecap, which I think is not good, so Sunday's 10k is still tentative...but I've already set out my clothes. I REALLY want to try it!

Cancun was great, and I managed to fit in those workouts between lounging on the beach, lounging around the pool, and the food and drink (hey, I was at an all-inclusive..)! I came down with a post-vacation cold, which is making this week difficult for training. I haven't done a run since the weekend, but did manage to fit in some strength today. I'm hoping I'll be able to do a long run tomorrow, and probably won't run again until the race on Sunday! Now, I need to figure out what I'm going to wear on race day...

Tonight I took the whole body conditioning class and we used weights about 95% of the time! I have never felt so tired in the middle of a class! I was planning on running afterward, but since I got light headed during the class I figured that was not the best idea. I was proud of myself for making a smart decision because I really really wanted to get a couple of miles in and in the past I would have pushed myself. Oh well. Not to mention, it's been so darn rainy this week that my knees are so tight. I think it's time to go get checked for arthritis :( Boo. My goal is to get a good run in tomorrow and then have easy runs for the rest of the week.
