Dragged my butt out of bed earlier than usual yesterday (6 hours of sleep + 1 more on the bus/train) to get myself to the gym. I only had time for 2 miles, but at least it was something for the week.
Lunch break was used on the TR X-press class at Nimble. I love how small these classes are (2 people today including myself); lots of attention. :) I didn't push myself too hard knowing I still had Bikram after work.
Bikram class was tough and I had to sit out on the last couple of poses. Either way, I'm loving them and the sweatfest they provide. It's just tough because I can rarely make the 6/6:30 classes and end up taking the 8/8:30 classes and getting home very late.

Awesome evening with Cindy Lai Fitness boot camp followed by Bikram. Boot camp was rough but really fun - lots of squats too. Bikram was wonderful, and I caught myself smiling a few times. Definitely seeing improvement.

Cleanse day 3. Didn't end well. Trainer Manny showed no mercy for my lack of food for the past 2 days, and 10 minutes before our session ended I got really dizzy from squatting with what he probably thought was a decent weight for me. No. I went "eff it" - workouts vs cleanse - I'm going to choose workouts. So I got a salad and soup for lunch and ditched the all-liquid cleanse. I wasn't risking getting dizzy in Bikram again. James even convinced me to eat a brownie. Yum.
And then... Bikram went so lovely. I smiled during most of the class and saw improvement in some of my poses. I was so happy. And Kyoko is an amazing instructor.
I'm most likely never doing a cleanse again (at least not one that lasts more than a day). But it was definitely a good experience, and I don't think I've ever been able to reach that level of vegetable intake in my life. It was great, just not for me.

It's hard for me to stick to a fitness plan so I've taken up something new. I decided to do some dance moves each day. Dance is something I enjoy and since it does not equal "work" to me, I think I can handle it each day. Luckily, squats are in this new fitness dance plan, so, bring it on!
