I had an unexpected 90 minutes free between rehearsal and my dinner plans. I did some serous mental decompressing on the elliptical and in the sauna. Ran into a friend upstairs in Crunch Lafayette and it was nice to chat fora few minutes.

Saturday was a long day of loading in to the theater and rehearsal. I was all go go go from 10am to 1am. I almost cried when, lying in bed, I watched the clock jump from 1:59 am to 3 am. I really needed that hour.

In Friday's silks class, I learned my new favorite pose: the treehouse. From a double footlocks, you basically cross your legs and sit down. It looks really pretty and is really easy. I could do it all day. We worked more on our hip keys. I still can't quite get into it properly. Holding myself up while doing a fan kick is proving to be extremely tricky. My silks girls, aka Team Silks, were lovely as always.

My home internet crashed in the middle of something important. Took me an hour to fix it & thus swallowed the hour I was going to work out during before rehearsal. Booo. But we did dance the hora in rehearsal. Which leads me to a bit of shameless self promotion:
My company, Little Lord, opens our show JEWQUEEN (an adaptation of the biblical Book of Esther) on March 17th. Time Out picked called us "brainy-campy" and picked us as a Photo of the Day! http://newyork.timeout.com/arts-culture/upstaged-blog/998501/photo-of-the-day-jewqueen
Also, I am featured heavily in a promotional video which was filmed right after I took a yoga class. I think I was high on exercise endorphins. http://vimeo.com/20838128

Yes, last week's challenge totals for me were a disaster. Going home to see my folks always seems to do that to me. I'll catch up on my totals for those lost days later. As for now, I'm back on the horse and even got to a Bikram class tonight.

Went to Buddha Belly at Crunch. Sort of weird class - a fusion of yoga and pilates, which I wasn't really expecting from the description. So the class itself was just okay, but it was taught by the woman who taught my first yoga class ever five years ago! Totally weird, and I've always remembered her because I really liked her, and she was super nice to me in that first class even though I was totally lost. And I still liked her. Nice little deja vu.
