yoga vida at noon and an attempt to see a documentary which didn't happen. So I treated myself at with a steam at Equinox.
Oops, missed this one.
Busy day! First off, Ben Davis (BenDoesLife.com) was in NYC this week and held a meetup / unofficial 5K. For those of you who don't know who he is, he has gained internet fame by posting his 120lb weight loss journey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SbXgQqbOoU) and has inspired a bunch of folks to go out and do the same thing. Very cool guy and an awesome morning. After the 5k in Central Park the group of us went to Whole Foods at the Time Warner Center and spent 3 hours eating/drinking/chatting. Meeting internet people is fun and it was inspirational hearing other people's stories as well. :)
After that I headed on over to my gym (which I rarely do considering all the places I go to) and tried out Nikki's Core and Calm class (it's as it sounds, painful yet relaxing at the same time) followed by the introduction of our location's new Boxing Boot Camp class taught by Arturo. A friend of mine went with me and we are super sore as I type. Awesome class - I hope I can make it again next week.
Lastly, I went to Art of Fitness for the second installment of the Cirque Fitness workshop with Kristine where I continued to work on stuff I've learned so far. Oh, and my headstands are improving! :) I was also signed up for Antigravity the same night but a couple came in from god-knows-where and were upset that there were no spots left, so I gave mine up. For selfish reasons though, because I was tired as heck, not to mention hungry, at that point.
Good day. :)
Weights w/ Obama on CNN in the big boys section. The big boys that stopped to watch the news about Egypt gained sexy points for political awareness. I was the crazy chick in the vibrams doing dead lifts and mouthing Prince. A great upper body medley for about 35 mins before spin class. Carl had a sub, but have no fear, she was totally my time. All rhythmic - lots of pushing- singing along to dirty lyrics- good stuff. I pushed myself hard. Really hard. After working out, I almost puked. Seriously. Stretched for 15 mins and then hit the sauna with some ice cold H2O. Arrived home and physically and emotionally collapsed. Fed the beast some whole wheat pasta. Time to sip some coconut water and use the coach bolsters as restorative props. I'll be in bed by 11. My weekends are too wild. I brought home my work computer and some folders. I'm bursting with fruit flavor.
in honor of the last night of Jan Plan, I did not have a drink!
A lovely morning walk with coffee through a snowy neighborhood. And after, finally, finishing a work project that's been hanging over my head--I ran to noon yoga. It was the perfect treat.
Massive catchup for the Mille Bournes / thousands challenge. Holy crap. My tummy hurts (I subbed crunches for situps), and I'm about to run off for tonight's audio yoga.
