Sorry for the trouble! Teams of co-workers from New York’s coolest companies compete for massive stair climbing glory!
CHALLENGE SUMMARY & RULES
The collective mission: Climb at least 240 flights of stairs per person in March. FYI: That’s just 8 flights per day. The company team that climbs the most stairs wins an all expense paid trip to the Brooklyn Bowl, New York's finest, most festive bowling-themed, music-having venue. Stair-climbing is a fact of life in New York, but in March we climb for honor and loot.
A company team can be of any size. The first person from a given company who signs up for the challenge should create their company's team on our Teams page, and then anyone else from that company can join the team when they join the challenge.
A company may field one or more teams.
One floor equals one flight! Got that? In other words, if you walked from the lobby to the fifth floor, you get to count FOUR flights, no matter how many steps or landings there were in between.
You can count flights wherever you climb them, i.e. at home or at work, or elsewhere, but don't be too greedy. Ignore the half flight of steps at the department store.
You only get to count flights of stairs you climb, not those you descend.
Any time you take the stairs out of a subway station, count one flight, no matter how many there were. No, it's not exactly accurate, but this way we don't get into fights about whether the 59th Street station is really one flight or 300.
