LaDonna W., Wills Point, TX:
I always feel so much better when I have certain core habits in place. I truly experience a happier and more simple lifestyle in abundance, and the reward is a healthier state of being: spiritually, mentally, emotionally & physically (Mark 12:30).

This challenge is about finding ways to burn calories with routine daily activities. "Being Active Naturally" phrase was coined based on the NEAT Factor (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis or NEAT). Remember consistency counts - check in daily and log your activity. NEAT developed by Dr. James Levine, Director ASU/Mayo Obesity Solutions (author of Move a Little, Lose a Lot: New N.E.A.T. Science Reveals How to Be Thinner, Happier, and Smarter). I’m using the 'SocialWorkout' website for this challenge to quantify and increase my activity and wellness goals (along with my Striiv device) as a countdown to Memorial Day.

Welcome to The Monthly Standard - May Edition!
Exercise is an important component of overall health, but do you really know how many times you work out each month? We've created The Monthly Standard as a way to track your baseline amount of workouts, social-like, with peer pressure and group support for all.
Your mission: 24 workouts in 28 days, which averages out to 6 per week. It's ambitious, but doable, with focus and daily dedication. What constitutes a workout is up to you, but be prepared to defend yourself.
Good luck and good sweat!
Reza P., New York, NY:
