Spinning
Workout
It burns so good
I went to my usual Monday spin and ab class combo. Spin was great today. We did two shorter hills and lots of sprints. I was dripping in sweat after and my legs and butt were burning...AWESOME!
Abs was great too. We did a lot of plank and plank variations. I'm always shaking like crazy during them but the burn is oh so good.

I Involuntarily Pumped My Fist in Spin Class

Workout
If it isn't hard, what's the point?
As incredibly stressful as Mondays tend to be, it's so great to look forward to my Monday workout. It makes the work day semi-bearable. 45 min spin class - we did an intense 11 min hill and lots of sprints, 25 min ab class, and 15 min strength training.
Workout
Pull ups are still not my friend.
I got to the gym early yesterday so I could knock out another attempt at the pull-up-ness. I'd read a program the night before that suggested pyramiding the reps and taking off weight each time, so I thought I'd try it. I modified it a bit though.
Record Breaking
And You Thought Your Spin Class Was Crowded
This weekend in Minneapolis, the world's largest spinning class went down. With 1,052 people in attendance, the event was held by Lifetime Fitness for the stated purpose of breaking the Guinness World Record. In addition to being packed with people, the class also lasted two hours, so it was crowded and really long. Dubbed the "Ride of a Lifetime," it followed fast on the heels of Life Time Fitness's previous Guinness World Record class of 600 cyclists, held in January. So here's guessing there'll be another "Ride of Lifetime" during most attendees' lifetime.
