Snapshot

Kathleen is a Candidate for Gym Rats Anonymous

Every day, we give you a snapshot of one fellow striver in fitness. We ask personal questions, they boldly answer. Today's snapshot: Kathleen, aka spindig.

  • What's your number one workout spot? A toss-up between the gym and outside. The gym enables outside.
  • What's the healthiest thing you eat? I try to eat an apple a day. Organic Mutsus when I can get them.
  • What's the best thing in your gym bag? A recent gift from a fellow cyclist, multicolor SpokeLits for the nighttime ride home. They change colors from red to green to blue to yellow to white, etc. Very laser light show (technically, they're LED). I've had so many people ask me where I got them. Best of all, they're a fun way to be safe while riding in the dark.

Workout

Keeping to it.

It all seems to be working out so far.  Out of work at a descent time.  Wondering how all those people who work out BEFORE work can do it.  I think I'd just be grumpy the whole day if I had to get up early to work out.

Events

Speed Dating Yoga

If you have neither love nor a job, Crunch has just the event for you. Friday, February 12th, at 4 p.m. (sorry employed people) Crunch Lafayette is hosting a speed dating yoga class. During "Flex Appeal" you'll rotate through a lineup of partners for an "invigorating" partner yoga workout. After class, everyone gets drink tickets to a nearby bar. Kinda cute. If you don't believe in yoga class love, perhaps you've forgotten the grand success of the "yoga blind date." If you're shy, the first 30 people get give-aways from Boy Meets Girl clothing, plus there are those drink tickets, so just pretend you're in it for the swag. Free and open to the public.
