If it isn't hard, what's the point?

As incredibly stressful as Mondays tend to be, it's so great to look forward to my Monday workout.  It makes the work day semi-bearable.  45 min spin class - we did an intense 11 min hill and lots of sprints, 25 min ab class, and 15 min strength training.

Time to detox

After a weekend of partying, drinking and eating (in celebration of my bday!), I am in need of a detox.  Today 45 min of spin, 25 min of abs, and 15 min strength training (mostly arms).  It wasn't too brutal jumping back in to things, which was surprising since I haven't worked out since Thurs.

it's a sad state of affairs when the highlight of your day is the gym and a salad you ate for lunch

Today was rough.  Work was miserable, and the rest of the week will be no beter.  Pretty much the only 2 things that made it semi-tolerable were this awesome salad I made for lunch and my workout.  Not that those things shouldn't bring me joy, but there could have been something else a little pleasant about today.

back from vaca and back into it

Very sad to be back to snow, cold and work :(  Great workout though!

45 min spin - really good class.  We've been doing longer endurance segments, which are challenging for me.
